Building an Effective Team

Whether we have a handful of employees or thousands, we are almost always in the midst of building teams to achieve our company’s goals.  When team leaders and members know the five stages of team development (forming, storming, norming, performing and ending) and they respond properly to each stage, team success is much more likely.  As Judith Stein of MIT describes in her article “Using the Stages of Team Development”, every stage has its own set of feelings and behaviors that surface.  By evaluating them and addressing them, each stage can be leveraged to make your teams more effective.
